In accordance with the Resolution of the General Board of Higher Education Council dated 23.01.1991, it was resolved that Trakya University State Conservatory would be established. It was established in 1991-1992 Academic Year. Students were admitted to secondary school in 1991-1992, to high school in 1994-1995, and to undergraduate programme in 1997-1998. In 1998-1999, primary school under the body of Trakya University State Conservatory was founded and 1^st grade students were accepted.

There is currently only music department at the Conservatory. Prof. Ahmet Hamdi Zafer conducts the head of Music Department.

There are main Art Branch of Piano (branch of piano art), main Art Branch of Wind and Percussion Instruments (Flute Art Branch, Clarinet Art Branch, Trumpet Art Branch, Department of Oboe, Branch of Art of Percussion, Department of Horn, Trombone Art Branch, Tuba Art Branch, Bassoon Art Branch), main Art Branch of String Instruments (Violin Art Branch, Viola Art Branch, Cello Art Branch, Contrabass Art Branch). In every academic year, various concerts are organized in Turkey and abroad by soloists, chamber music groups and the Balkan Symphony Orchestra. Our students won prizes in various competitions held in Turkey and abroad. Every year, our students participate in various festivals abroad.
